‘Man, all three of you couldn’t hit a barn door. Try again.’ Hank loaded a clay into the thrower. ‘Ready?’

‘Pull!’

The clay disc fired out over the field. Three shots fired off. The clay landed in one piece a hundred yards away.

‘Dammit, these guns is useless,’ whined Dwight. ‘How we expected to hit those itty-bitty things flying about anyway?’

The others yucked at Dwight’s outburst.

The smoke cleared round the classroom. It was eerily quiet and still as all the screaming and running died away.

They could hear the police arriving outside.

‘How many you get, Dwight?’ Hank asked, crouched behind the desk.

‘I think I got me four, including that stuck up Darcy,’ Dwight grinned. ‘Won’t see her sniggering behind my back in Maths anymore.’

The others yucked at Dwight’s outburst.
