She wanted to be faithful.
But she couldn’t ignore the feelings rising inside her. Her senses heightening. That familiar yearning.
She felt the moistness on her lips, her tongue gently lingering around her mouth. The anticipation of that new rush of excitement, the new smell, the sweet new taste, the forbidden textures.
He had forgiven past betrayals. How much could one man take? They had sworn joint commitment this time.
It was no use. Agnes could not resist that primal urge.
‘And one of those, please.’ She pointed at the jam and cream-filled pastry.
The nagging guilt fluttered by, unacknowledged.

This was a great read and being on a diet I feel the same way about certain pastries. 🙂

The easiest answer is not to diet unless absolutely necessary! 🙂

I like this answer. I was completely naughty with my diet this weekend. But, it’s Monday and I can just start again 🙂

She’s cheating on her diet, but if there’s no one to see does it matter? Of course, whilst her lips are shut, her hips will tell on her

It sounds as if they were both committing to a diet, and Agnes keeps giving in! Making it harder for him. LOL.

There is something to be said for a moist cream filled pastry (now I feel dirty writing that). Slick switch of perspectives at the end. Nice one.

Flames of Desire. I was with you from the start . Must be that my desire for some foods outweighs other desires. Lovely language . Very well written.
