The End.
Sit back and feel that wave of satisfaction.
Done it. Seventy-thousand words.
A great ending. A strong start. Plenty of twists.
Sags a bit in the middle. Needs a bit of work there. That character is a stereotype. That part is unbelievable.
Is it really any good?
It’s dire.
Back to the start. Type: 2nd Draft.

Dear Iain,
There’s a reason I shy away from NaNoWriMo. 😉 As a writer, I feel the pain of the process. Nicely done.

IT does get me to sit down and write – and now the hard work begins! Thanks Rochelle

I know the feeling, Iain, although I could never find time for NaNo….
Too many beaches to be walked here!

I would rather be walking on a beach, but not in Prestwick in December! 😉

Ouch. And I am sure the first draft is fertile ground for a wonderful second draft. Congratulations, it is no small achievement.

You captured that familiar feeling with this piece and it brought a knowing smile to my face.

Good to know I’m not alone in feeling this way!

We’ve all been there I’m sure and given the current situation, it doesn’t just apply to writing!

Yeah… that’s the post-nano feeling. You nailed it.
I hope your November went as well as it could and that you’ll experience joy in the coming holiday season.
There’s a giveaway on my blog that ends today, if you’re interested.

Thanks – I think it will be worth it, but there’s still a lot of work to be done!
