A NEW FREEDOM

Invigorating was one way to describe it. Freedom. A weight lifted. A new start. The rest of his life starting now.

He put the sledgehammer down. All that remained of his laptop, PC, tablet and smartphone was a mangled, twisted pile of metal and plastic. His past life, his identity – trashed.

He turned his back on it and walked out the door. The bright sunlight hurt his eyes. People walked along the road. Real people. A woman smiled at him. He smiled back.

Linking with Fandango’s One Word Challenge. Today’s word was: Invigorate.
