To mark the end of the year, and as a first attempt in the world of self-publishing, I’ve gathered together a collection of short stories and flash fiction from my blog and published it on Amazon Kindle and as a paperback. I hope you can find the time to have a look.
I’m grateful for all the people who visit my blog to read my efforts and encourage me to keep writing – thank you one and all – and I look forward to continuing this adventure with you all.

Congratulations on publishing a book!

Iain! I’ve read the first two stories through the ‘Look Inside’ facility, I was grinning all the way through (even the sad bits). It’s a hell of a way to mark the end of the year.

Thanks Jac. I’m sure you will have read some of them through my blog, but it seemed like a nice way to gather them all together before starting fresh in the new year! Thanks for your support, Iain.

I read a quote today from, Buckminster Fuller ~ ‘You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.’ Despite everything, it’s an exciting time to be a writer , mate.

It’s certainly gratifying that something you write can be read anywhere in the world straightaway, with instant feedback. And then you can get a good old printed copy made too. Hope you have a good Christmas ๐

It’s fantastic. A good Christmas back at you. I’m feeling all Genghis Khan about 2017, so either I’m coming out fighting or I am establishing the largest land based empire the world has ever known. It could go either way.

That’s awesome! Congratulations! ๐ … I was wondering, does Kindle have a rule that you need to delete those blog posts from your site, in order to publish them?

No, they did query that they were already available but once they were satisfied I was the author and held the copyright then it was acceptable to publish.

Thanks Shehanne, that’s very nice of you – I’m sure you will have read most of them before on my blog, but it seemed a nice idea to collect them all together before moving on to new projects next year! I’m up for a chat with the hamster dudes in the New Year, you can get in touch whenever suits you. Hope you have a great Christmas ๐ x

Hearty congratulations Iain. Reading your writings have always been a pleasure.
I would definitely be going through your book shortly.
Could you run me through the mechanics of getting something like this published. If so, i would indeed be very grateful. Please bear in mind that you need to put it in a step by step manner as i am a bit of a novice in this matter. I shall be greatly obliged if you can mail me at neelanilpanicker@gmail.com. Thanks and wish you a more successes in the coming years. Neel.
