As summer draws to a close, here’s what I’ve been reading over the past couple of months:

July was very much summer reading season, with some quick page turners picked up while on holiday, but the standout was Georges Simenon and the concluding part of the ‘Wicked’ quadrilogy from Gregory Maguire:

August was a chance to re-read some favourite classics and they did not disappoint, including Terry Pratchett’s ‘Small Gods’, which I first read as a 13/14 year old and is the book that really started my love of reading and Terry Pratchett! Then it was time to get stuck into reading crime thrillers by Peter James and his Roy Grace series, ahead of hosting an author event with the man himself in October.
