An honour this week to host an event with the multi-million best-selling crime author Peter James, as part of his book tour launching his latest Roy Grace police thriller, ‘Dead in Three, Two, One’. It’s another thense thriller, and sure to be a hit with fans of the series.

In front of a sell out audience at The Wee Bookshop in Dollar, I got to ask Peter about his writing, his career and his inspiration, along with many other topics. He was a delight, and full of entertaining anecdotes. Like me, he started off in television before his writing career took off. We could have chatted for much longer, but after he signed and chatted with his readers, he was off – straight to another event in the evening – full of energy at the sprightly age of 78!

A big thank you to Macmillan, Sophie and Gillian for arranging the tour, and for Carly and her staff at The Wee Bookshop for inviting me to take part.

And of course, I managed to sneak in a few sales of my own books – thanks to those who came along to listen to us chat and took an interest in my own writing as well.
