‘Is this a joke?’

Indignant ’til the end, even while being led away in handcuffs.

Ex-Prime Minister arrested. Sat in a jail cell next to an indicted ex-President. A pair of jokers.

Guilty of lies so obvious only the blinkered can’t see them.

Like a House of Cards, the weight of so much corruption and division has finally brought about their downfall, toppling in on themselves.

Of course, they will get away with it in the end.

And we have the nerve to look down on others and call them banana republics.

Will it change anything? In short, no.

In answer to his question – this is all one big joke.

    So appropriate for the times. Regardless of how many jokers slip through the cracks of justice in this life, they will all have to face their Maker one day.
    Whoops, I probably should be praying for their souls rather than snicker at their coming judgement.

      Our guys in trouble – already fined by the police for partying during lockdown, now potentially might be found to have lied to parliament about it. Won’t be arrested though!

    And then the is the phrase about getting the government we deserve. When I look around, I think it is true.
    I loved your use of the word “blinkered.” I looked it up. I agree, but it seems kind. 🙂
