IAIN KELLY

ANOTHER WEEKEND OVER

Frank left the apartment early to head into work.

He found Hamish on the front lawn.

Hamish was gagged and hooded, strapped in a straight jacket covered in fake blood, locked inside a shopping roll cage with crime scene tape wrapped round it.

Frank had left the club early the previous night, leaving Hamish with his student friends.

‘Good night?’ Frank asked, as he passed.

Hamish nodded and mumbled something that sounded like ‘the best.’

‘See you tonight. I’ll let them know you won’t be in work today,’ Frank called over his shoulder as he walked down the path.

Enjoyed it. Sounds like Hamish might be getting too old for these things, if one ever does get too old. Frank seems to look down upon him for hanging out with student “friends” who seem ever so much worse friends than Frank is. He just believes in “”natural consequences”, as they call it in the parenting world. You made your bed: now lie in it!
