A warm fireplace, some mindless doodling, and most importantly, some chocolate. There were other things he could be doing. Around the edges awaited distractions – work emails, house stuff, paperwork – but nothing that urged immediate attention. Today it was enough to just sit and enjoy what he had, listening to the kids playing outside…
